Passionate for Paint (and Much More)

KYSU Studio Arts is a community of teachers and students working side-by-side in a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth. We believe everyone has an artist inside them, even if it feels hard to believe, and we want to help everyone find that artist, overcoming any fear. Like Van Gogh once said, "If you hear a voice within you say, 'You cannot paint', then by all means, paint and the voice will be silenced.

KYSU STUDIO ARTS: WHERE LOCAL ART MEETS LOCAL LOVE

University students sharing art culture with the world.

Our current upcoming student-led project will be taking place in the first few weeks of August. Members from the studio art club will be getting together to create chalk works around the Kentucky State University campus to encourage and brighten the days of the incoming freshmen.

This explorative class allows you to learn the fundamentals of art while unlocking the keys to your creative side! We offer classes for both beginners and advanced learners. It's the perfect opportunity to try something new while learning more about yourself through creative expression.

CLAY POTTERY

You drink out of a cup every day, why not try making your very own? Pottery classes are engaging and exciting, yet also the perfect opportunity to relax. This once a week class is open to beginners and offers a great way to rewind from work in the evening. Pottery class is also a great way to mingle and meet other local artists in the Frankfort community.
